allergiesWhile those who don’t suffer from allergies welcome spring with open arms, allergy-sufferers across the Southeast cringe at the thought of the official day of spring (March 20). Spring brings warmer weather that’s not too hot. But, it also brings pollen which leads to headaches, coughs, itchy eyes, and runny noses. Is there relief?

Yes! Let the team at Langford Allergy help. Call us today at 478-787-4728.

There are several ways you can help yourself fight the pollen. First, schedule an appointment with your allergist and we will be able to help you find relief. Second, consider the following advice:

Keep Your Windows Down & Your A.C. Up

Keeping your windows shut is a great way to keep the pollen out of the house. Instead of using a fan to keep it cool inside, use your air conditioner.

Wear Sunglasses When Outside

Sunglasses can protect your eyes from the sun and from pollen. Once pollen enters your eyes, they may become itchy and red. Avoid this by wearing sunglasses. You may already be suffering from pollen – tree pollen made its debut early this year (in the last week of February)!

Shower Before Bed

If you’ve been outside, it’s extremely important to shower before going to bed or relaxing on furniture. If you forget to shower, pollen will cling to the fabric and your evening snooze or relaxation will be interrupted by sneezing and coughing.
